Oh, now I think about it, there is that Egyptian tomb found in, I think, the 1950s. It's a twin burial for two guys. It mentions their families but it also shows them in the embrace usually associated with married couples. The archaeologist at the time thought they might be twins but I would suggest perhaps very, very close friends:-)
