I'm relieved the healing device didn't seem too contrived -- I've actually had that in mind since Cross Multiplication (when Jim thought Rodney was a Goa'uld because of the naqadah in his blood), but I couldn't really do much to set it up ahead of time or I would ruin the surprise.
