Hell, anyone who goes around with SG-1 tends to get killed. For that matter, the only thing that's saved Rodney since the sinking jumper incident is the fact that he only imagined Sam kissing him, because the real thing would have meant certain death.

On the other hand, SG-1 is lucky that Rodney didn't get their spaceship blown up like he has every other ship he's been on in the last couple of episodes.
